In accordance with best practices, Oliver Litigation has implemented a document scanning or ‘paperless’ protocol to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
We scan paper documents as they come in, and return the paper copies to the client.
We use secure OCR software Adobe Acrobat to convert files into a text searchable PDF, making retrieval quicker and more cost effective.
Digital File Storage
We store digital file storage on local encrypted servers that are backed-up daily and monitored by a dedicated IT professional based in Edmonton.
Sharing Electronic Files
We utilize Dropbox Business which is designed with multiple layers of protection, including secure data transfer and encryption. This makes sharing files faster and more reliable, with enhanced security that includes tracking shared files.
Retaining Paper Documents
We keep documents in paper form as required by law. This might include deeds, wills, or other key documents with ink signatures. Even then, we scan these documents into our system as a backup and for quick searches.
